*Hospital Covid-19 Update*
At East Plains Animal Hospital, the health and safety of our clients, patients, doctors and team members is our number one priority. For nearly 2 years, The COVID-19 pandemic has completely uprooted our day to day hospital routine, and changed the way we have been able to practice veterinary medicine. We are so thankful for the continued patience, cooperation and understanding from all of our clients throughout this pandemic as we navigated practicing during this very difficult time. Given the recent provincial mandate changes, we will be slowly updating our practice style in order to move away from an entirely curb-side approach, while still maintaining a safe environment for all of our staff, clients and patients.

- As of April 1, 2022 - All patients coming to the hospital may be accompanied inside for their appointment by ONE family member. This applies only to appointments that have been scheduled ahead of time. Upon arrival, please remain outside and contact the hospital, whereby someone will be happy to come out and escort you into the appropriate waiting area!
- Due to social distancing recommendations and to manage unaccountable urgent traffic in the clinic at any given time, emergency appointments and same day appointments will remain curbside at this time.
- In order to keep waiting traffic down in the clinic, all pre-booked technician appointments (nail trims, medication administrations etc) will also remain curbside.
- For the safety of our staff and all other clients, we ask that Masks MUST be worn inside the building at all times until otherwise directed.
- In order to adhere to proper social distancing guidelines and to maintain a low traffic flow through the clinic, all medication and food pick-ups will continue curbside. Please continue to call ahead to place orders, and our friendly team are happy to bring your pre-paid items out to your trunk on arrival!
- For the safety of our staff, we ask that all clients who are displaying any form of respiratory symptoms to please inform reception at the time of booking. Our reception team will be able to assist you in re-booking non urgent appointments, or guide you through alternative options for having your urgent patient seen.
- Although our shelves remain well stocked, we strongly encourage clients to continue utilizing the Online E-Boutique for food orders. This will help limit client exposure to the public and allow your food orders to be delivered right to your door step!
- In order to minimize contamination in the clinic, we are continuing to practice a high level of clinic sanitation and good hygiene protocol, utilizing medical grade disinfectant in all areas of the hospital. The hospital will be disinfected between all appointments.
